Josephine Karianjahi, co-founder and co-director of Africa Podfest, discusses the findings from her organization’s report on the present and future of audio storytelling in Africa. Among the report’s findings she notes are the rising demand for podcasts by African youths in urban areas, the barrier to access due to the high cost of data, and the potential for innovation and investment in the continent’s podcasting industry.

This is the final episode of season one of Foresight Africa podcast. A new season of the show will launch after publication of the 2023 edition of Foresight Africa report, in early 2023.
